Journey Clinical Platform
I led the design of a platform that connects patients, therapists, and physicians to safely deliver psychedelic therapy.

Background
When I joined Journey Clinical, they had a proof of concept and market fit, with thirty therapists on board and two part-time doctors serving around 100 patients. They had a brand identity, one engineer, and fragments of a digital platform complemented by tens of Google sheets, forms, pdfs, and several third party services. My challenge as a designer and product strategist was to prioritize which pieces of the fragmented —but functional — product to improve or extend while staying nimble and responding to a dynamic regulatory space.
Solution
The product was too large, the team too small, and the growth too fast to design a north star. I had to build out the design system on the fly, check assumptions with rapid testing, and create smooth transitions between third party services and bespoke experiences. The product evolved over the course of three years from a disparate hodge-podge of forms and PDF's to a full featured EHR platform with four way messaging, education modules, scheduling, medication management, and much more.
In three months, one engineer and I took the product from zero to one; designing and building four separate portals that connected therapists, patients, doctors, and care-coordinators.

I led research studies on patients, therapists, and Journey's doctors to understand their fears, expectations, and workflows.
I analyzed qualitative research alongside product funnels to understand where and why there were bottlenecks.
This research allowed us to gain buy-in from the executive team and focus our energy on the most impactful projects, while designing features that were incredibly empathetic to user needs.
